So my dad is in Puerto Escondido... otherwise known as heaven as far as he's concerned. He left early January & won't be back until March. Armed with his iPhone and with the advantage of free wi-fi I get quite a few daily emails that go a little something like this (FYI... green lettering is my dad writing)...

This gives a whole new meaning to 'online shopping'.

The daily emails continued... or more like random tid bits of information...

I brought 3 bottles of hot sauce with me. It makes the tacos twice as good. I hope I don't run out.

Which brings us here. I decided that I would blog my dad's blogs right here on my blog! Unfortunately...

I got a serious problem here. Nothing wise to say!!

Did I tell you I've been walking every morning? A little more each day. Since day one. I made it to the point today. As far as I can go. 35 minutes walking briskly each way. Good for me!!! Stop for a big glass of OJ to go on the way home and chill in my room taking pictures of the surfers for an hour or so till about 10:00 and it's time to start tanning.

Is the B in blog for boring!! 

But I liked the idea of him blogging to me.. my dad is a wise man, or at least is supposed to be. So I told him he should send me an amazing surfing photo everyday.... or any photo of something inspiring or interesting. He thought that was a good idea. Unfortunately he doesn't know how to use his laptop which means he doesn't know how to send photos from his laptop so all we get are iPhone shots...

amazing shot.

There was an earthquake here this morning. 4.4 only. I was the only one who felt it. My bed was shaking at about 7:20 our time. It was centered just offshore of huatulco. I have an earthquake app.
The waves here have been huge this morning. I think it's just coincidence. Not many surfers out. I'm going to take a video of just the waves.

More online shopping... I like the ones in the middle... stringy with the amber... there are also ones in the bottom corner that look cool... bottom left and are cut off... they are stringy too with a blue feather.

I think my father has finally figured out how to send photos from his computer & not just his iPhone....

Is it wrong to have a banana daiquiri with breakfast. Yesterday was great fun. Not that today isn't starting well!!
We went to this little beach where it is nice to swim and snorkel. "Angelito"
You can just sit in a nice restaurant and go for swims between beers. Well a shrimp cocktail and then a main course of garlic shrimp and many beers and swims later life seemed pretty good. And it is!!!!
This beach had banana rides. Remember Chelsea? I wasn't tempted!
Who knew that blogging could be so tiresome. I just sent you a surf pic so I'm leaving now

Back walking the beach this morning. Toe had healed enough. It was great to start back into that routine. Missed 4 days.

Might go for a little exploratory drive this morning to another beach. Lots of surfers on the water. Maybe I'll get some shots. Enough for now!!

What happened to your toe?

On my walk five days ago I peeled a chunk of skin off the soft flesh underneath my index toe. Is there an index toe? I didn't even notice when or how, it just started irritating on the way back, so it took me twice as long to get back. But you have to walk the beach barefoot. So a little TLC and I'm back!!

I forgot to tell you. Alicia who owns the place saw the dresses when I showed her how I had fixed up my room.

So she told me of this little town she goes to for some reason , a few hours away where she can get little dresses with fancy stitching and embroidering that sell here for 800 to 1000 pesos for 200 pesos.......

It's too warm here at night. I just felt like I should complain for a second!!! 
I guess I could actually complain about the wifi being down but that seems so trivial.
Friends from BC arrived yesterday. I only know them from here last year and the year before. They play key roles in my achieving complete decadence. Commitment is the key.
I'm going to check if Juliet's dress store is stll open.

Online shopping with my father comes complete with a sizing chart...

So yesterday we learned that my father had hired a carpenter to build him some chairs... and there was much talk about 'the office'. I asked about the carpernter...

Sometimes even paradise needs improving. I have very demanding standards. You'll see eventually 

So today we see with his series of 4 photos, as promised, which make up the panorama of his balcony...

And there's the office. Where the elite reside. Where all decision making is done. Where tacos are eaten, beer is drunk, and you know!!!

Did you like that table an those two chairs I had made?

That tarp in pic 3 rolls down at about 3:00pm to keep the north balcony out of the scorching sun. Sunset viewing is done from the south balcony.
 
Beyond the tarps plans call for an exercise bike an a hot tub on the lower balcony. So many balconies!!!


Now I'm not so sure that towels, tarps & green turf is my idea of paradise... but my father is a simple man. That and the view, beach, sunsets & surfers, tacos & shrimp & mexican women probably more than make up for it.

I just had two leftover shrimp stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and breaded. I couldn't eat all my dinner. Must have been the guacamole entree.

Imagine.....   It's 9:00pm. You've eaten. Well I  might add.  Now you're sitting in the office with your shirt off and you're not hot or cold. It seems perfect.

There's so much I left out.

The music from the bar next door is a perfect volume. The waves crashing and the white water rolling on forever. Temperature. I already mentioned temp.  The stars above. Cheap beer and pot.

My father was (is) very talkative today. He started the day off with an awesome photo of  some surfer's moto... very funny. It's after 7 PM our time (EST) which is 6 PM for him.. and he's still going. Renovations? In a hotel? His carpenter? Only my father...

My carpenter just delivered my chairs.

He's going to see a welder for me to make some brackets I need to block out the street lights that moleste my eyes at night.

My palace is nearly complete.

Eventually I will send you photo documentation of all my renovations.

Morning Surfers

Well it's sat morning and the tour busses are in town. Not many, 1 or 2. I'm sitting at mangos having rancheros. Enough blogging for today.

Which was apparently a lie because 3 hours later in an email entitled "wind"...
